Our ex apprentice Nils Bratby has been selected as one of the last forty in the PT4U Fashion Apprentice Competition The winners of the two available apprenticeships will be given a years worth of training from top fashion photographers on the Photo Training 4U team. In this round the ten entrants that get the most public votes will go through to the final selection, made by the staff of PT4U.
Naturally I think Nils is by far the best entrant but of course I am slightly biased! If you agree however then every vote counts. It will cost you nothing but a moment of your time and the training he gets will help us give our customers an even better service.
His is the second on the list, email and name required to register vote. Competition closes 31st March 2012
With all the shoots going on up to Xmas an unexpected piece of surprise good news passed by without the congratulations deserved. Just before Xmas our apprentice photographer Nils submitted a selection of images to the SIFGP (Society of Internation Fashion and Glamour Photographers) for a mentoring program. The normal process is for them to assess the images then write back with a critique of the photos, along with advice on where improvement is needed before submitting for one of the professional awards.
Nils was braced for a shock when the letter arrived but not the one he received. It turned out that the reviewers were so impressed by the initial images they decide to skip the normal process and submit them directly for the Licentiate qualification. Which they passed with glowing comments.
So a belated congratulations to Nils Bratby LSIFGP.
Sorry, I meant to get back to this WAY sooner but life has suddenly got very hectic. Spent the last few months trying to kick over a few ant hills and it finally seems to be paying off
Since my last blog I’ve been a busy boy and worked with some great and lovely people. .. People like the amazing models Dolly Diamond and Ebony Ivy and the talented designers Kim WestFashion and Kitsch Kaos among others. For more information on that check out Dolly’s latest antics here and the Kim’s style blog here. I’m also going to be trying to update this more regularly so watch this space.
Anyways… back to ‘My first Studio shoot’
Things heat up at the Immortaleye studio as we spend time with the amazing Dolly Diamond.
With expert help from our professional photographer Baron our studio apprentice gets creative and try’s something new. We think the results are pretty hot.
Nils will be explaining how this was done in a later blog but in the mean time enjoy;
Hello you beautiful people, I’m Nils and as well as being Baron’s son I am the studio apprentice for Immortaleye Photography in Stoke Mandeville, Aylesbury.
I’ve been taking pictures for ages, ever since I was little really, just never thought of it as something I’d do professionally. To me it was always just a hobby and something to do on my various travels aboard. However when Dad decided to open the studio I agreed to help out … and the rest as they say is history.
